This system is very similar to the rock impact fences with minor modifications to control mud slides and debris flows. Through field testing it was determined that these barriers were capable of controlling slow moving debris flows which may not have the initial impact of a rolling rock but continue to add stress to the system as the mud and debris build-up.

These installations have been engineered and field tested to also assure that they function as required. The systems are utilized in debris channels; the systems can be designed with or without supporting post based on the site conditions.
